Congratulations to Chief Jeffery Springer and the entire Chicago Heights Fire Department on the arrival of their brand-new Frontline Model M1 ambulance. This is the fourth unit added to the department’s fleet this year, and it's built on a 2016 Chevrolet C3500 4×2 Silverado chassis, powered by a 6.6L diesel engine. The ambulance is equipped with state-of-the-art features, including full LED emergency and interior lighting, a Tomar Opticom system, and a custom Havis swing-out tablet docking station. It also includes a 20A Kussmaul Super Auto Eject, a custom Med-Vault, and an extra wall-mounted suction unit and charger. The Frontline Model M1 is part of RevGroup’s renowned lineup of ambulance manufacturers and is designed as a compact, durable, and reliable addition to any fire department’s fleet. Its all-aluminum, extruded modular body offers over 56 cubic feet of exterior storage and 45 cubic feet of interior space, with a standard 146†long x 90†wide body and 68†of interior headroom. These models can be configured with or without a CPR seat, offering flexibility for different operational needs.
